In August 2008, 46 students from Compton, California will make history!  Led by the A.V.I.D. teachers of Dominguez High School and local non-profit TroyBoy Foundation these teenage pioneers will embark upon an educational tour through Europe.  Our students live in a city recently ranked by Morgan Quitno Press among the top 25 “Most Dangerous” cities in our nation.  In some instances our youth are safer boarding a plane to a foreign country than they are walking home from school. 

Our efforts have been dubbed “Project London” and our success could pave the way for other inner-city youth to believe and achieve similar dreams that once seemed unreachable in our communities.
